Mission Statement to Manufacturers, Service Providers, RTOs and other persons involved within the industry of In-service safety inspection and testing of electrical equipment:

We, the Authors of this Manual have laboured our best intentions to maintain all duty of care and due respect to all of the above, inclusive and exclusive of industry participants, within the industry of In-service safety inspection and testing of electrical equipment.

We have taken this opportunity to educate any persons reading the Manual, website, any updates or any person receiving any verbal or written information from the authors, with our extensive experience, considering the pros and cons where due in order to try to maintain an balanced, independent point of view. We have taken the opportunity of not specifically naming any brand, company, or organisation when discussing specific items of interest, however may have narrowed the source down to an industry type and or group, or product type. The contents of this manual, is by no means designed to condemn or defame any industry (or non-industry) persons or company’s or products; we have merely experienced all of the stated case studies and events, to conclude by the end of this manual that: education and assistance is required for all involved in this industry. The should aid in achieving a better, safer, fairer and more informed industry. In life there are compromises, or satisficing decisions, made daily – the more informed industry particpants are, the more informed the decision process should be.

As the authors are realistic people, with an understanding that implementing Best Practices can mean increasing workloads, we would like to also take this opportunity to inform you that such Best Practices may incur you as a Service Provider additional cost in implementation. We encourage you to make yourself aware of costing before proceeding with any such works, but remain aware of the marketing value of completing services to a Best Practice standard, and your legal obligations to the client in providing real safety outcomes.
